I am writing to encourage Scarborough residents to voice their support for the library expansion by voting in favor of the upcoming, non-binding referendum that will be on the ballot. A concept plan of the proposed construction is on display in the library.
Anyone who has been to the Scarborough library knows that the current space is well used. Being so close to the schools is a bonus – it means easy access for our children. It also means that adults are sometimes affected by the exuberance that accompanies youthful library users. The new construction will provide a quiet separate space for adults, more and bigger meeting room facilities, storage and more efficient use of the existing space. I encourage everyone to get behind this plan.
