Laura Wood, a Scarborough High School student, is the daughter of Greg and Donna Wood of Merrill Brook Drive.

I have known Laura for two years as the advisor to ECOS. Recently, Laura as ECOS president has helped secure a $500 grant for the biofuel bus project from a New York City organization. Additionally, Laura has organized and managed a club of over 60 members (up from 15 last year). Our recycling efforts are at over 1,000 bottles per week and 450 pounds of paper per week. Laura is making an amazing difference in the community and her school.
