On behalf of the board of trustees of the Scarborough Public Library and the Friends of the Scarborough Library, we would like to offer our sincere thanks to the citizens of Scarborough for their support of the community’s public library, past, present and future.
The positive response to the floor plan and architectural model supports our belief that this library expansion truly reflects the needs of our community and will be a well utilized community resource far into the future. If you have not gotten a chance to see them, the model and floor plans are on display at the Library and also online at www.library.scarborough.me.us/connections.
In our respective roles with the trustees and the Friends, we have witnessed the extremely comprehensive planning process and believe that the proposed library expansion is fiscally and environmentally responsible. We thank all community members that have participated in this process and we encourage all residents to vote in support of the proposed library expansion next Tuesday.
