July 6-23: Schoolhouse Arts Center presents “Peter Pan,” the musical based on the play by J.M. Barrie, this technically challenging production is directed by Michael Hjort and musical director is Paul Stickney. July 7: From 4:30 to 6 p.m., Christ Chapel on Northern Pines Road in Raymond is holding a community meal free of charge. Food will be served continually and includes Shepherd’s Pie, rolls and desserts. FMI 655-5058.

July 8: The Cumberland County Equestrians 4-H Club is holding a car wash to raise money for a trip to Virginia from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lee Auto in Windham on Route 302. The club has been based in Windham since 2001.

July 8: The Knights of Columbus, Council 10020, is holding a public supper from 5-6 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church on route 302 in North Windham. Menu includes Chicken Cordon Bleu, potatoes, peas, cranberry sauce, desserts, coffee, punch, milk. Cost is $ 7 for adults and $3 for children 12 & under.

July 9: Casco Public Library book sale begins at 10 a.m. and will run Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Sundays from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

July 10-14: The Rufus Porter Museum, located in Bridgton, Maine, holds the first annual Cultural Heritage Series in Bridgton. Classes offered include painting floor cloths, Moses Eaton stenciling, Rufus Porter style wall mural painting, understanding furniture, wood molding planes, folk painting, wool dyeing, 19th C basketry, beginning tatting, making herbal wreaths and early American iron. There will also be an antique appraisal on Tuesday afternoon and demonstrations of 19th Century crafts on Thursday afternoon.

July 12: Bad bugs in your kitchen can make you sick. Karen Chagnon will show you where these microorganisms like to live and how to keep them from making you sick. July 13: The Brick Church for the Performing Arts at 502 Christian Hill Road in Lovell holds “An Evening in Paris: Cello and Piano” at 7:30 p.m. The program will include compositions by Beethoven, Debussy, Chaminade, Faure, Chopin and Puolenc, performed by Bonnie Anderson, pianist, and Natasha Farny, cellist. $12 Donation. July 15: Streaked Mountain Wood Carvers at Maine Wildlife Park: a nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching, preserving and promoting the art of woodcarving.
