Maj. Gen. Williams – Fort Williams was named after Major General Seth Williams, who was present at Appomattox Court House in 1865 as Gen. Lee surrendered.

Fort Williams old – The Goddard Mansion was completed in 1858 for lumber baron John Goddard.
