There are several events in Windham to raise donations for the David & Dawn Bailey who lost their home due to a fire Sunday, July 30.

Checks can be made out to The Bailey Home Fund and mailed to the Evergreen Credit Union, 785 Roosevelt Trail, Windham, ME, 04062. All donations are welcome.

One donation jar has placed at Corsetti’s Variety at the junction of Route 202 and the Windham Center Road. Another donation jar has been placed at Thayers on the River Road near the Gambo Road.

The Southern Maine Redemption Center, located off of Route 302 by the Family Fitness Center, is accepting donations of cans and bottles for the Bailey family.

On Saturday, Aug. 26 at 5 p.m., there will be a spaghetti supper at the Cornerstone Assembly of God Church located on Cottage Road in Windham. Tickets will be available soon. Look for fliers or call 893-1589 for tickets. The cost will be $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Tickets will also be sold at the spaghetti supper. This supper will include an auction to help raise donations.

Windham Jewelers is donating a piece of jewelry for a raffle. Details will be available shortly.

Another church has stepped forward to have a bottle drive for the Baileys. The Elm Street United Methodist Church of South Portland will be doing a bottle drive in South Portland on Saturday, Sept. 2.

This outpouring of support has been very uplifting for the entire Bailey family. If you would like to volunteer to sell tickets for the spaghetti supper or the raffle, please call Susan at 893-1589.
