Coming from the south toward North Windham, travelers see the Lakes Region Primary Care medical center on the left hand side, just at the crest of the hill by Ward Road intersection. In days gone by, travelers lined up for delicious homemade ice cream at the Gates Family Restaurant. Later this became the property of the Rich family and was again, a well known restaurant.
