The Scarborough Public Library will close Friday, Sept. 1, for building maintenance. So that it can be sealed and striped, the parking lot will be inaccessible either Aug. 26 and 27 or Sept. 1 and 2. The library will close for Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 4, and will return to its fall schedule on Tuesday, Sept. 5: Monday, Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Sunday, 1-5 p.m.
