“Don’t Outlive Your Health” is the title of a two-session course offered by the Cape Elizabeth Department of Community Services.

Participants will read the book “Blood Never Lies,” by Canadian nutritionist Ted Aloisio, who is the featured speaker at second session.

The first class explores the challenge of getting nourishment from foods grown from depleted soils, chemically or otherwise treated, picked too soon and often shipped long distances before.

Session II will explore convenient, affordable ways to supplement diets with whole foods, which provide the essentials of good health. Aloisio, of the Veritas Health Institute of Toronoto, will present and answer questions.

Colleen Myers, a wellness consultant, is the course moderator.

The classes will be held at the Cape Elizabeth Community Center.

from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 21 and Thursday, Sept. 28. The fee is $10 per session, and an optional book fee of $15 is payable at the first class.

To register, contact the Departament of Community Services at 799-2868, stop by the offices at 320 Ocean House Road, or mail in the registration from the fall program guide.

For more information or to pre-purchase “Blood Never Lies,” contact Myers at 799-4706.
