The results are in.

On Friday, Sept. 8, schools around the state drew names to see who would be among the 4,000 educators and support staff attending an Oct. 18 education celebration at the Augusta Civic Center.

Celebrate ME, a nonprofit division of i’monair, a South Portland-based company, is hosting the event, dubbed Celebrate School People. The celebration will include entertainment from pianist Paul Sullivan and singer Noel Paul Stookey of Peter, Paul and Mary. It will also screen videos of people around the state, shot by i’monair, expressing their appreciation for someone they remember in the school system.

The drawings in Cape Elizabeth and Scarborough selected two teachers and two support staff.

In Scarborough, Eight Corners School teachers are Janet Michaud and Nancy Mitchell, and support personnel are Julie Berman and Jim Bolton. Wentworth Intermediate School teachers are Lauri Dean and Tammy Sweatt, with support personnel Cleon Nelson and Cherie Sackville. Scarborough Middle School teachers are Mike Crosby and Sashi Kaufman, with support personnel Carrie Murphy and Maureen Passarelli.

Pleasant Hill School teachers winning the lottery are Jennifer Taylor and Rae Cote; support personnel are Rebecca Zafonte and Julie Inman. Blue Point School teachers are Marcia Grant and Leigh Quigley, and support personnel are Diana Sterling and Jane Powers.

Scarborough High school teachers are Elin Doyle and Paul Ledman, and support personnel are Kelly Jenkins and David Boyd.

In Cape Elizabeth, Pond Cove School teachers selected are Ren Wilkinson and Marianne Harrington, and support personnel are Lisa Mowles and Suki Brydon. Cape Elizabeth Middle School selected teachers are Becky Bean and Margaret Welch, and support personnel are Norm Hanscom and Bill Keuck.

Cape Elizabeth High School teachers are David Peary and Katie Lisa, and support personnel are Ann Underwood and Rick Whitten.
