Laura Bustin, manager of the Scarborough branch of Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution, has been named a vice president. The Portland resident joined the Saco-headquartered bank in September 2005.
Bustin has more than 30 years in the banking industry, from teller to vice president and manager. From 1979 through 1995, she was at Maine Savings Bank/Fleet Bank, leaving as an assistant vice president and branch manager. She was vice president and manager of Maine Bank & Trust’s Scarborough branch between 1995 and 1998, responsible for business development and commercial lending. Just prior to joining Saco & Biddeford Savings, she was manager of Evergreen Credit Union in Westbrook for seven years.
Founded in 1827, Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution, the oldest bank in Maine, has offices in Saco, Old Orchard Beach, Scarborough and South Portland.
