David Sparks, an expert on rescuing animals, will be bringing some critters to the Scarborough Library on Wednesday, Oct. 25, (a school early release day) at 3:30 p.m.

After years of dealing with animals, formerly as the animal control officer in Westbrook, Sparks now operates a unique animal emergency services business called “Sparks Ark.” He has been featured in newspapers and has appeared on local television stations, becoming a local celebrity.

Sparks conducts educational programs, bringing some of the animals he rescues to show to children and adults alike and to explain the basics of Maine wildlife habitat.

The Friends of the Scarborough Library and the Freaky Bean Coffee Co. partner for the Freaky Bean & Friends 2006-2007 program series.
