No one was injured during a structure fire that occurred at an apartment building in Hollis on Sunday (Nov. 5).

At 4 a.m., the Buxton and Hollis fire departments responded to a fire at 17 Diamond Lane, said Captain Chris Maines of the Buxton Fire Department. He said after battling flames threatening to engulf the building, the fire was extinguished by 7:30 a.m.

The fire, whose cause is still under investigation, was in one of the abandoned apartments of the three-residence complex. Maines said the residents of the other two apartments were evacuated, but their living quarters sustained minor damage.
