Dec. 2: North Windham Union Church hosts their annual Old Fashioned Christmas Fair featuring homespun crafts, books, jewelry, ornaments, a children’s shopping room, baked goods and an extensive silent auction. Dec. 2: Spice it up this year with gifts and decorations from the “Deck the Halls” Christmas Fair! from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Casco Village Church United Church of Christ, Route 121 in Casco Village. Crafts, gifts, baked goods, wreaths, swags, and poinsettias. Take a stroll through the cookie walk and shop at Grandma’s Attic! Have breakfast and have your picture taken with Santa from 8 to 10 a.m. Lobster roll & corn chowder (hot dogs available too!) from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Dec. 9: One-Day Childbirth Class Offered at Bridgton Hospital. In response to requests from mothers-to-be for a condensed version of the usual eight week Childbirth Class, Bridgton Hospital offers an eight hour, one day, Saturday session. 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. includes lunch. Course fee is $30 per person or $60 per couple, which is usually covered by healthcare insurance. Class focuses on the process of labor, delivery, Cesarean birth, pain relief in labor, relaxation, etc. Class will be taught by Barbara Henley, R.N.C.
