The employees of ecomaine remind everyone to recycle their holiday wrapping paper (any paper without foil is gladly accepted) and their gift boxes, too. The more we recycle, the more we reduce the waste stream.

ecomaine’s 21 owner-communities are: Bridgton, Cape Elizabeth, Casco, Cumberland, Falmouth, Freeport, Gorham, Gray, Harrison, Hollis, Limington, Lyman, North Yarmouth, Ogunquit, Portland, Pownal, Scarborough, South Portland, Waterboro, Windham, and Yarmouth.

Associate members are: Baldwin, Hiram, Naples, Parsonsfield, Porter, Standish, and, beginning in July 2007, Saco.

ecomaine owns and operates three facilities: a waste-to-energy plant, a recycling facility, and an ashfill/landfill.
