Gorham 50 years ago

The Westbrook American reported on Dec. 22, 1956, that Shirley Merry would direct the annual Christmas observance at Elmwood School on South Street. The parents’ club provided candy and gifts for the tree. The school is now headquarters for the Gorham Lions Club.
