The Red Cross is looking for healthy volunteers to participate in a community blood drive to be held at the Cape Elizabeth Public Safety building on Thursday, March 1. The entire process takes approximately one hour to complete.
Before blood is donated, a Red Cross clinician will review the donors’ health history, measure the iron in their blood and check their blood pressure, pulse and temperature. In order to give blood, donors must be in good health, be 17 years old and over, weigh at least 110 pounds and have no history of exposure to hepatitis.
Walk-ins are welcome, but waiting will be minimized by making an appointment ahead of time with the Health Office by calling 799-3309 x420.
