Members of the Eastern Trail Alliance have invited the public to participate in a spring cleanup of the Scarborough marsh and beaches on Saturday, April 21. Volunteers are asked to meet at 9 a.m. at one of nine locations, from Route 1 to the shore, to pick up litter.

Areas to be cleaned are: Pine Point Beach, Pine Point Road and Ross Road, Audubon Center to Dunstan Landing, Route 1 near Anjon’s restaurant (high school age and above), the Eastern Trail, the Nonesuch River Marsh off Black Point Road, Libby River Marsh, Black Point Road, Ferry Beach (off Black Point Road) and Higgins Beach.

Bags are provided, and volunteers should bring work gloves and wear boots. There will be volunteer coordinators at each location. This is the third year of the spring cleaning event.
