Pajamas are not just for sleeping. They’re also for visiting the Scarborough Public Library – that is, if you’re between the ages of 4-6.

On one Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m,, “Pajamarama” brings PJ- clad kids – stuffed animals in tow – and their families together for stories and fun.

According to Elizabeth Forrest, new Youth Services assistant, “The kids love coming to the library in their pajamas. It’s something special that only they are allowed to do – not their parents or grandparents.”

Upcoming dates and themes are: April 10: Music; May 2: Springtime Tails; June 5; You are the Storyteller.

Forrest will also conduct “Kindertales,” a mix of books, songs and fun for ages 3-7, on Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. Dates and themes planned for the coming months are: March 31: Rain; April 7: Telling Stories; April 14: Spring!

For more information, call the library at 883-4723, or go to www.library.scarborough.me.us.
