Fire and Rescue
Between July 31 and Aug. 5, the Cape Elizabeth Rescue squad transported seven patients to Maine Medical Center and one to Mercy Hospital.
On Aug. 1, at around 4:15 p.m., the fire department responded to an activated fire alarm on Shipwreck Cove Road.
On Aug. 2, at around 11 a.m., the fire department responded to a kitchen fire in South Portland.
On Aug. 3, at around 11 p.m., the fire department responded to a smoke investigation on Tides Edge Road.

Doggone it
On Aug. 1, at around 8:45 a.m., a resident of the Scott Dyer Road area reported a dog bite. A dog at a neighboring home attacked the resident’s dog and bit it. Both dogs are current on vaccinations.
Bottled up
On Aug. 1, at about 4:45 p.m., a resident of the Broad Cove area reported a burglary. Taken from the residence were a small telescope valued at about $75, a set of binoculars valued at $75, a small table valued at $200 and 12 bottles of wine valued at $125.
Larger than life
On Aug. 4, at around 3:40 p.m., a resident of the Mitchell Road area reported a dog at large. The owner was identified, contacted and warned.
