Fire and Rescue

Between Aug. 7 and Aug. 13, the Cape Elizabeth Rescue squad transported 11 patients to Maine Medical Center and one to Mercy Hospital.

On Aug. 8, the fire department responded to sparking wires on Cottage Lane.

On Aug. 12, at around 6 p.m., the fire department responded to an activated fire alarm in Odyssey Lane.

On Aug. 12, at around 6:15 p.m., the fire department responded to an ocean water rescue.

On Aug. 13, at around 4 p.m., the fire department responded to an activated fire alarm on Wildwood Drive.

Loose dog

On Aug. 7, at around 3 p.m, a resident of the Fowler Road area reported a loose, barking dog. The owner of the dog was identified and notified.

Stolen bike

On Aug. 8, at around 6:45 p.m., a resident of the Shore Road area reported the theft of a bicycle from the Casino Beach area. The blue and gray bike is a hybrid style with a 16-inch frame.

Take it or leave it

On Aug. 12, at around 11:30 a.m., a resident of the Broad Cove area reported a stolen vehicle. Scarborough police had found the vehicle abandoned in a ditch at around 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 11.

Fort report

On Aug. 12, at around 6 p.m., a Yarmouth resident reported a motor vehicle burglary at Fort Williams. Taken from the vehicle was a brown purse containing three credit cards, a debit card, a Social Security card, a driver’s license and a cell phone.
