• The library is a busy place for its patrons of all ages and all levels of readers. For starters, Library Director Marie Morey has updated the reference area with several new books.

A three volume set titled “USA in Space” is an in-depth collection of the history of America in space, from the very first flights to the International Space Station.

“Notorious Lives” is another three volume set for the reference area. This interesting collection contains easy to look up biographical text and photos of criminals, terrorists, and political corruption. Both collections include appendixes and indexes.

• Additions to our large print collection include “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” by J.K. Rowling as well as “A Thousand Splendid Suns” by Khalid Hosseini.

New books by Maine authors that have been added to the library’s shelves are “Outlaw Hearts,” a western romance by Diane Amos, and also “Here If You Need Me” by Kate Braestrup. Kate was one of the first chaplains appointed to the Maine Warden Service.

Other new and upcoming titles are “You’ve Been Warned” by James Patterson, “Playing For Pizza” by John Grisham, “Mummy Case” by Elizabeth Peters and “Bone Garden” by Tess Gerritssen (yes, another Maine author!)
