The Bridgton Community Center will be offering a six-hour American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training Course on Friday, Oct. 5. The class begins at 9 a.m. Attendees will receive a certificate at the end of the six-hour class.
The basic course gears toward 11- to 14-year-old youths, teaching them information on Leadership: Safe and Responsible Babysitting, Basic Care: The Heart of Babysitting, Stop: Think Safety, Safe Play, and Basic First Aid.
Fee for this class will be $30, which covers the cost of the book that participants will be able to take home with them for reference.
