Michael Stiles, 38, Grove Avenue, South Portland, on Sawyer Road for failure to produce insurance.

Theresa Sutherland, 53, Shore Road, on Route 77 for speeding 54 mph in a 45 mph zone.

Sept. 29

Omar Amaya, 37, Lewiston Road, Gray, on Route 77 for operating after suspension.

Scott Maddocks, 43, Huiet Road, McDonohough, Ga., on Route 77 for a seatbelt violation.

Fire and Rescue

Between Sept. 26 and Oct. 1, the Cape Elizabeth Rescue squad transported five patients to Maine Medical Center and one to Mercy Hospital.

On Sept. 27, at around 9:30 a.m., the fire department responded to a lightning strike on Cove View Road.

On Sept. 29, at around 3:45 a.m., the fire department responded to a fire alarm on Ocean View Road.

Full exposure

On Sept. 26, at around 2 p.m., a resident of Old Orchard Beach reported a man was exposing himself at Kettle Cove. Police searched for the man, who was described as older with gray hair, green shorts and a gray shirt, but he was not located.

Rabid skunk

On Sept. 27, at around 1:40 p.m., a skunk was reportedly acting strangely and chasing people and a dog in the Old Ocean House Road area. Police located and disposed of the skunk. It was sent to the state lab, where it tested positive for rabies. The owner of the dog was issued a quarantine notice.
