Scarborough voters have a unique opportunity in the upcoming election for town council. In his nine years on the Scarborough Planning Board, several of these years as chairman, Mike Wood has demonstrated the qualities that make him an excellent choice as a member of the council.

Having had the opportunity to serve with Mike Wood for a short time in his early years on the planning board, I witnessed first hand his approach to difficult issues. Among the qualities that make Mike a good public servant is his ability to listen carefully to arguments on both sides of an issue, ask well thought-out questions to bring clarity to a presentation and then make his final decision or recommendation based on a careful, unbiased assessment of what he has observed and learned in the process.

As a member of the Scarborough Town Council, Mike Wood will do his best to assure that every Scarborough citizen is treated with respect, and he can be counted on to seek solutions that are fair and equitable for all involved.

Please vote for Mike Wood on Election Day. If it is more convenient, polls are now open daily for early voting at Scarborough Town Hall.
