Construction has begun at Bessey Square, a retail, office and residential development on Route 1 in Scarborough, seen here in an architect’s rendering. The development, which will be ready for occupancy next spring, has already secured a few tenants, including Starbucks. A cafe and a professional office tenant are also expected to move in.
