Appletree School, on Two Lights Road in Cape Elizabeth, is for children in prekindergarten through first grade. The private school places an emphasis on involving children with the outdoors, and, joked teacher and founder Pamela Johansson Mullin, “There is no bad weather, just bad clothing.” On Dec. 12, the children took advantage of the abundance of snow to make a snow-people village.
