Fire and Rescue

Between Jan. 23-28, the Cape Elizabeth Rescue squad transported four patients to Maine Medical Center and three to Mercy Hospital.

On Jan. 25, at approximately 11:50 a.m., the fire department responded to an investigation of smoke on Belfield Road.

On Jan. 27, at approximately 11 a.m., the fire department responded to the activation of a fire alarm on Wabun Road.

On Jan. 28, at approximately 12:40 p.m., the fire department responded to the activation of a fire alarm on Silva Drive.

Stolen phone

On Jan. 22, police responded to a claim of a lost or stolen cellphone belonging to a resident in the Old Ocean House Road area. The cellphone was valued at $280.

Phone harassment

On Jan. 22, at approximately 10 p.m., police responded to a complaint of a resident of the Cross Hill area who had received harassing phone calls. The caller was identified, contacted and issued with a notice to discontinue harassment.

Stolen mailbox

On Jan. 23, at approximately 8:15 a.m., police responded to a resident of the Ocean House Road area who reported a stolen mailbox, described as white with the street number and resident’s name on it.

Returned firearms

On Jan. 24, at 7:15 p.m., police met with a resident of Ocean House Road who was dropping off firearms for safekeeping per a protection order.

Vehicle theft

On Jan. 25, at approximately 9 a.m., police met with a resident of Portland who reported a motor vehicle burglary at Fort Williams Park that occurred around noon on Jan. 24. A Fuji digital camera with a Nikon lens and accessories, along with a Dell laptop computer, were reported stolen.

Employee harassment

On Jan. 25, at approximately 1:30 p.m., police met with a representative of a local business who reported receiving threatening phone calls from an employee. The businessperson was advised to obtain a protection order from the court.

Mailbox mischief

On Jan. 27, at approximately 8 a.m., police responded to a resident on Two Lights Road who reported damage to the mailbox and 12 other mailboxes in the neighborhood.
