Broken ice

At approximately 7 a.m. on Feb. 6, police responded to a report of a car that had struck the ice machine outside the Puffin Stop on Route 1. Employees at the store reported the damage, but the vehicle left the scene.

Suspicious person

At approximately 1 p.m. on Feb. 6, police responded to report of a suspicious male who was lingering outside the Oak Hill Mobil Station on Route 1. Employees learned that the man was an illegal alien and notified immigration officials.

Library theft

At 2 p.m. on Feb. 6, police responded to a report of a theft of an iPod Nano from the Scarborough library. No suspects were reported.

BB gunshot

At approximately 8 p.m. on Feb. 6, police responded to homeowners on Highland Avenue, who reported that their window had been shot at with a BB gun.

Forged check

At approximately 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 7, officers responded to a resident on Bickford Street, who reported that a check had been forged for $350. No suspects have been found.

Harassment

At approximately 8:20 p.m. on Feb. 7, police responded to reports of a woman who was being harassed by her ex-boyfriend at Sandpiper Cove II on Blackpoint Road. An officer was sent to the guard the area.

Construction theft

At approximately 9:24 a.m. on Feb. 9, officers responded to reports of theft of $12,920 in tools from a house under construction. The contractor had left his tools at the house over the weekend, and reported the missing tools when he returned on Monday morning.
