A Lewiston man was arrested at the Windham Subway restaurant Sunday after planting a video camera in the bathroom, according to Windham Police.

Sergeant Peter Fulton said a customer noticed the camcorder set up behind the toilet in a unisex bathroom and alerted the staff. Police arrived at about the same time Larry Mahn, 57, of Lewiston returned to the Subway and was pointed out by employees.

Fulton said Mahn had been in earlier when things were slow and he believes the staff suspected him because he had spent a long time in the bathroom.

Mahn was arrested at about 1:49 p.m. and was charged with violation of privacy. Further charges may be added later. Fulton said police do not know what he intended to do with the footage.
