The Cape Elizabeth United Methodist Church will host a Service of Prayer for Peace, Wednesday, at 7 p.m., on the eve of the fifth anniversary of the start of the war in Iraq.

The simple service of prayer and candlelight will be held in the narthex under a large, papier-mache globe of the world, surrounded by origami doves.

The church is located at 280 Ocean House Road.
