On Tuesday, March 25, at about 10:01 a.m., a resident of the Bowery Beach Road area reported the fraudulent use of his credit card in Florida. The card had been used several times for purchases totaling more than $2,000. The card has been canceled.

On Tuesday, March 25, at approximately 5 p.m., a resident of the Ocean House Road area reported mailbox damage.

On Wednesday, March 26, at about 12:05 p.m. a Shore Acres area resident reported fraudulent charges on her credit card. She contacted the credit card company and learned that the multiple charges were connected to the breach at Hannaford.

On Wednesday, March 26 at approximately 7:21 p.m. police met with a resident in the Ocean House Road area regarding possible harassment by a neighbor. An officer attempted to speak with the neighbor but the neighbor refused to come to the door. The resident was advised to obtain a protection order from the court.

On Saturday, March 29, police met with a resident concerned about another individual rumored to be selling drugs. Upon investigation, police said, the rumor appeared to be unfounded.

On Sunday, March 30, at about 8:12 a.m., police met with a resident of the Shore Road area regarding a domestic issue. The individual was advised of available options to deal with the family issue.

On Monday, March 30, at about 10:30 a.m., police responded to a residence in the Shore Acres area to retrieve a suitcase that had been found in the road. The suitcase contained men’s clothing and some eyeglasses but no identification.

On Wednesday, April 2, at about 12:15 p.m., police met with a resident of the Sawyer Road area, who had found several unused syringes. The syringes were the type commonly used for insulin injections. The items were transported to the police department and disposed.

On Wednesday, April 2, at approximately 5:30 p.m., police met with a resident of the Ocean House Road area regarding criminal mischief. An unknown person or persons had poured paint into the resident’s grill.

On Thursday, April 3, at about 7:54 p.m. police responded to the Mitchell Road area for a report of a confrontation between the caller’s dog and a raccoon. The raccoon was gone upon police arrival. The owner was issued a 45-day quarantine notice. A report was given to the animal control officer.

On Friday, April 4, at about 10 p.m., a resident of the Fowler Road area reported illegal fireworks. A description of the suspect vehicle was obtained. The case remains under investigation.

Fire and Rescue

Between March 26 and March 31, the Cape Elizabeth Fire Department transported three people to Maine Medical Center and one person to Mercy Hospital.

On March 26 at 9:54 p.m. the fire department responded to a motor vehicle accident on Ocean House Road.

On March 27 at 4: 20 p.m. the fire department responded to a report of a carbon monoxide detector sounding on Shore Road.

On March 29 at 3:49 p.m. the fire department responded to a report of a carbon monoxide detector sounding on Spurwink Avenue.

On March 30 at 4:37 a.m. the fire department responded to a fire alarm sounding on Jordan way.
