Women in the Lakes Region who are coping with appearance-related side effects from cancer treatment are invited to a special program offered by the American Cancer Society. Look Good, Feel Better sessions are held monthly in Windham.

The next session will be held Wednesday, May 28 at the North Windham Union Church, Roosevelt Trail, Windham. The program runs from 6-8 p.m. To register, call the American Cancer Society at 373-3708 or (800) 227-2345.

Trained volunteer cosmetologists teach women how to cope with skin changes and hair loss, using cosmetics and skin care products donated by the cosmetic industry. Women also learn ways to disguise hair loss with wigs, scarves and other accessories and receive a complimentary make-up kit.
