Ric Hanley of Winthrop and South Portland, Spring Harbor Hospital chief operating officer, has earned board certification in health-care management as an American College of Healthcare Executives fellow.
Fellow status from the international professional society represents achievement of the highest standard
of professional development and is shared by only 7,500 other health-care executives.
Prior to joining Spring Harbor, Hanley was head of Down
East Community Hospital in Machias for four years. His background in mental health administration includes six years as chief operating officer at the former Augusta Mental Health Institute. He is chairman of the board of Shalom House Inc., and holds a master’s degree from the University of Maine in
guidance and counseling and one from the University of Minnesota in health-care administration.
