Gorham’s Leigh Maniscalco and Alyson Fearon race side-by-side at a meet from last season. Both Maniscalco and Fearon were recently named to the 2008 SMAA all-star track team. Fearon was named to the first team in the 100 and 200-meter dashes and Maniscalco was named as a first team all-star in the pole vault and the 300 hurdles as well as being selected to the all-academic team.

Gorham’s Cam Stevens (left), Bonny Eagle’s Melissa Carrier (center) and Bonny Eagle’s Jamie Ruginski (right) were all recently honored by the SMAA for their achievements during the 2008 outdoor track season. Stevens was named as a first team all-star in the 400-meter dash and a second team all-star in the 200-meter dash. Carrier was named to the second team in the 100-meter dash, and Ruginski was named as a first team all-star in the triple jump and the 300 hurdles, a second team all-star in the long jump and the 110 hurdles and he received an honorable mention in the 400-meter dash.
