Cumberland County Sheriff’s Deputies have identified a potential suspect, but no arrests have been made, after an unsuccessful armed robbery at a hair salon in Standish Thursday.
At around 1:30 p.m. on June 26 a white man around 40 years old demanded money from employees at the New Hope Hair Salon at 140 Ossipee Trail East in Standish, according to witnesses.
When employees refused to open a cash register, the suspect threatened them with a firearm. After a struggle, during which at least one shot was fired, the suspect fled on foot. He was last seen entering a dark-colored sedan parked on Route 25 near the business.
Deputies found a possible getaway vehicle on Harmon Hill Road off Route 114 near Sebago Lake.
