The Interurban Electric Railroad connected Portland to Lewiston/Auburn and served the towns in between, from 1914 to 1933. The town of Gray was one of the stops of the Interurban.
On Monday, July 28, the Windham Historical Society will present a program on this service, which would surely be of value today. Louise Knapp, president of Gray Historical Society, will bring artifacts, pictures and a video to view. The public is invited and admission is free, but donations are encouraged. The program starts at 7 p.m. The Historical Society is located at 234 Windham Center Road.
