For Scarborough residents interested in running for the Town Council, the Board of Education, the Sanitary District and the Portland Water District Board of Trustees, nomination papers will be available on Wednesday.

The positions available are:

*Three seats for the Town Council.

*Two seats for the Board of Education.

*Three seats for the Sanitary District.

*One seat for the Portland Water District Trustees.

All terms are for three years with the exception of the Portland Water District, which is a five-year term.

The deadline for filing nomination papers is Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 6:30 p.m.
