The Gray-New Gloucester girls soccer team got their second win of the season last Thursday, the Patriots moved to 2-1-1 on the year thanks to a 2-1 win on the road at Poland on Sept. 18.
Poland got on the board first against the Patriots as Kelsie Taylor scored at 32:06 of the first half on an assist from Libby Bernier. Taylor scored after beating one defender and booting one home from about 18 yards out.
As time was running out in the half, the Patriots got the equalizer. Elyse Doyle scored with 39 seconds on the clock with the assist going to Hannah Wilbur.
In the second half, the Patriots got the game-winner off a direct kick by Kassie Wilson. Wilson’s kick went into the box, and Kelsey Redmond poked it home with her knee.
Taylor Damon had seven saves in goal for Gray-New Gloucester.
