Scarborough’s Logan Mars (right) faces off against an opponent at Saturday’s Westbrook Invitational wrestling tournament, held at Westbrook High School. The Storm placed 10th out of 11 teams at the event.
Massabesic won with 198 points, followed by Cony (140), Bonny Eagle (134), Mt. Ararat (110), Westbrook (106), Mountain Valley (62.5), Deering (54.5), Winslow (44), Sanford (34), Scarborough (25) and Lawrence (3).
The Red Storm had one wrestler make it to the championship round. At 145 pounds, Glen Googins was pinned by Massabesic’s Peter Gilman at 5:02 and finished as the runner-up.
