The Friends of Scarborough Library will present “The Legend of the Banana Kid” puppet show at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, at the Wentworth Intermediate School gymnasium.

The show, put on by the Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers, is set in a remote Western town that’s being harassed by a group of outlaws. The hero uses bananas as weapons as he outsmarts the outlaws and brings justice back to the town.

The Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers – Erik, Brian and Robin Torbeck – are from Bar Harbor.

Doors open at 1 p.m. No tickets are needed for the free show, but an early arrival is recommended.
