Dog on the loose

On Jan. 4, police responded to a residence on Scott Dyer Road for a dog-at-large complaint. Police spoke with the resident and contacted the dog’s owner. They issued a warning for allowing the dog to roam at large.

Bad money

On Jan. 5, police spoke with a Shore Road resident about a fraud complaint. The woman had listed a snowblower on craigslist.org to sell. The suspect sent her two money orders, each for more than the price of the machine. The suspect e-mailed the woman requesting that both money orders be cashed and the balance returned to him. Police contacted Money Gram Payment Systems and learned that both money orders were fraudulent.

Town damage

On Jan. 5, police responded to the rear of the fire station to document damage to a town vehicle. The plastic grill was broken and it appeared the damage occurred while the vehicle was parked there.

Dropped call

On Jan. 6, police met with an Ocean House Road resident regarding the theft of a cellular telephone that occurred at Cape Elizabeth High School. The phone is valued at $400.
