3/5 at 8:10 p.m. Chad Coleman, 24, of Leighton Road, Falmouth, was issued a summons by Officer Kevin Conger Jr. on a charge of operating while license is suspended or revoked.

2/28 at 7:02 a.m. A woman who was checking her father’s residence while he was away called police to report a strange SUV parked in front of the garage, which was open. When officers investigated, they found a 17-year-old boy in the house who turned out to be a relative of the father’s girlfriend. He claimed he and three of his friends needed a place to spend the night after a party. He had rigged the door so he could gain access to the inside. He was told to leave and the woman was going to contact her father.
Goose still on the loose
3/1 at 4:02 p.m. A friendly Canadian goose, perhaps the same bird that has been spotted all over the area during the past couple of weeks, refused to move from a parking lane at Shaw’s. But by the time the animal control officer responded, the goose had flown off, last seen heading southwest.

3/3 at 9:45 a.m. A woman who had been a victim of identity fraud several years ago received a call from Toshiba asking if she’d ordered a computer to be shipped to Virginia. The order was placed using a credit card she’d canceled back when the initial fraud took place. She called police to report the incident.

Robert M. Prevost Jr., 28, of Portland, was arrested by Officer Jason Bartlett on charges of operating after license suspension and speeding 15 to 19 miles per hour over the speed limit.
Charitable theft?
3/4 at 12:15 p.m. A resident contacted police when he began receiving mail from a credit card company requesting payment on his father’s credit card. Although his father has been deceased for many years, someone had found the man’s name and personal information and used his identity to obtain a credit card. Police said the card was then used to make small donations to an organization to test the card’s validity. The son was given an identity theft packet and police helped him sort out the problem.
