Windham Summerfest is gearing up for another great event this year, with festivities set for Saturday, June 20, at the Windham High School grounds. The day is packed with family fun and exciting activities all day, ending with spectacular fireworks at dusk, and help from the community is needed to make it happen.
The day’s activities begin with a pancake breakfast sponsored by the Windham Lions Club at the Middle School Cafeteria. The Summerfest parade kicks off at 10 a.m., and it promises to be a huge success. The activities continue with food and games booths and entertainment all day long. Some of the special events include a craft fair, a Kids Zone, firefighter’s challenge, skate park competition, helicopter rides, frog jumping contest and carnival rides.
One great thing about Windham Summerfest is that it represents a large fundraiser for non-profit organizations within the community. Each year volunteers donate their time to raise money for non-profit organizations, school groups, churches and others.
The Summerfest Committee is currently looking to the community to help make this year’s event better than ever. Organizers are accepting applications for the parade, booths and special events. Sponsors, donations and volunteers are also needed to make this a success for the Windham community. Organizers would like you to join us and become part of this community-wide event.
