With so many players new to the team, I expect to grow tremendously throughout the season. I expect that once we get into the swing of our regular season schedule, each and every player will evolve with each passing game. I’m truly excited and honored to be working with such a great group of athletes. Our strength lies in our ability to work together as a team; we are always most successful when each player communicates and puts forth their best effort and ability. If we do that for every game, we should be in very good shape at the end of the season.”

Coach’s comment: “We have a few key people returning that will help us this year. Joe Haggerty and Jamie Rosenberg should be in the top of the field in the javelin. We should be strong again this year in the pole vault with Luc Pham, Alex Robinson and Brent Kramer all having the potential to break 11 feet. There are several middle distance runners (800M/1600M) who should be very competitive this year (Letourneau, Cundy, Reifman-Packett, Van Note, Seth and Nathan Bryant). We are excited about the addition of freshman McKenzie Gary to the team. He was very competitive in indoor track in the sprints and horizontal jumps. He qualified for states in the TJ and barely missed placing.”

The team this year seems more focused and serious about working together, supporting each other, and being more concerned about how the team maintains its focus on making hard work in practice pay off during matches. The fact that some of our new and returning players have spent hours on the court during the offseason helps to raise the bar for all players. ”
