YARMOUTH — Mary “Molly” Kamendulis Brown, 93,  died April 11 after a brief illness.

She lived in Falmouth for many years before moving to Yarmouth. The final year of her life was spent as a resident of Harbor Hill in Belfast.

For 18 years, she volunteered as a foster grandparent at Yarmouth Elementary School, reading with second and third graders until 2008.

She was an active member of the Grange for many years. Her interests included gardening, music, reading and traveling.

Her family will remember “Nana” and her affection for classic musicals, front porch sing-a-longs and her home full of loved one’s photos.

She was predeceased by her husband, Warren S. Brown, her sisters Mildred Silva and Lena Willete, her brother Edward Riley, her sons Orman S. Brown and Warren L. Brown and her daughter Harriette Nelson.

She is survived by her daughters Nancy B. Carr of Castine and Aynne B. Ames of Belfast; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., June 27, at the Falmouth
Foreside Community Church cemetery, 340 Foreside Road, followed by a
reception in the church’s Parish Hall.

Arrangements are by Lindquist Funeral Home, 1 Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth.
