Scarborough police are investigating a car accident that killed a Saco man Sunday night.

According to police, Jaime Taborda, 38, was found dead inside his 1999 Chevrolet Blazer after it apparently struck a tree near 221 Beech Ridge Road around 8 p.m. on May 3.

No one else was in the vehicle at the time of the crash and no one else was involved, police said.

Scarborough police and accident reconstruction teams from Maine State Police and Westbrook Police were investigating the crash to determine a cause.
