The Cape Elizabeth High softball team improved to 6-1 on Monday afternoon with a 2-1 road win over Greely. Colleen Martin’s two-out, two-run home run in the third inning proved the difference. Pitcher Tricia Thibodeau took a perfect game into the seventh inning, but after she got the first out, Greely (4-4) managed a walk, a checked-swing single and pushed a run across to break up the perfect game and the shutout. Thibodeau finished with 12 strikeouts in the one-hit effort. Cape had three hits and did not commit an error. Greely made one miscue in the field.
