5/8 at 12:58 a.m. Joel Demers, 35, of Gray, was arrested on Portland Road by Officer Christopher Woodcock on a charge of operating under the influence.

5/8 at 3:17 a.m. Jonas Maynard, 19, of Cumberland Road, North Yarmouth, was arrested on Main Street by Officer Christopher Woodcock on a charge of operating under the influence.

5/10 at 12:50 a.m. Mark Gwinn, 43, of Crossing Brook Road,  was arrested on Tuttle Road by Officer Christopher Woodcock on a charge of operating under the influence.

5/10 at 10:16 p.m. James Heffley, 38, of Warwick Street, Portland, was arrested on Route 1 by Officer Ryan Martin on a charge of operating under the influence.

5/11 at 12:30 a.m. Jessica Richardson, 25, of Karole Lane, was arrested on Main Street by Officer Ryan Martin on charges of operating under the influence and sale and use of drug paraphernalia.

5/11 at 12:32 a.m. Charles Wilson, 25, of Oak Ridge Road, was arrested on Main Street by Officer Ryan Martin on a warrant.

Summonses

5/10 at 2:06 a.m. A 17-year-old Cumberland girl was issued a summons by Officer Christopher Woodcock on a charge of minor possession of alcohol.

Greely’s new sport

4/29 Just after 3 p.m., a caller at Val Halla reported that six tennis players were surfing on the trunks of cars in the parking lot. Police were unable to locate the athletes when they arrived.

5/2 At about noon, a woman driving on Middle Road called to report that she’d hit a turkey near the Tuttle Road intersection. 

Ghost busted

5/2 Just after midnight, a Farwell Avenue resident called to report that two males were acting suspiciously in the cemetery on Main Street. Police searched the area but were unable to locate them.

Chucking bullets

5/4 At about 1:15 p.m., a Pine Tree Waste Co. truck picking up trash on Blanchard Road noticed a box full of live ammunition about to be crushed in the truck. Police made contact with the homeowner suspected of throwing away the ammo, and explained what you can and cannot throw away. The homeowner was unaware that he couldn’t put ammo in the trash.
