Natalie Jeanne Hench

Daughter of Laura and David Hench.

Activities: Model United Nations, Math Team, The Falcon Newspaper, Gay Straight Alliance, varsity tennis , mentoring and tutoring.

Honors/Awards: National Honor Society, College of the Atlantic Book Award, Academic Excellence in French and Geography.

Future Plans: Cornell University.

Max Ivan Kagan


Son of Daniel and Julie Kagan.

Activities: International Student Exchange Program, New England Young Writers Conference, math team, service club, Model United Nations, student council, prom committee, drama, football and alpine ski team.

Honors/Awards: AFS Award for Excellence, National Merit Scholar, Presidential Education Award, Maine Model United Nations Diplomacy Award, Maine Lions Club Speak Out State Champion, Scholar Athlete Award, departmental honors in French, social studies and math.

Future Plans: Duke University (international relations and Middle East languages).

Hannah Elise Montalvo

Daughter of Ed and Mignon Montalvo.


Activities:Art club, and Clarion Literary Magazine.

Honors/Awards: National Honor Society, Governor’s Young Writer of the Year Award.

Future Plans: University of Vermont.

Karin Oransky

Daughter of Jan Newlin and Steven Oransky.

Activities: Art club, math team, Peer Mentoring Program, prom committee, varsity basketball, varsity lacrosse, Dominican Republic mission trip, sailing, traveling, wake boarding and snow boarding.


Awards: National Honor Society, President’s Education Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence, state-wide Young Maritime Artist Search (second place), school-wide contest for “Lobsterman” sculpture (first place), Varsity Basketball Coaches Award, Varsity Basketball Best Defensive Player Award, Senior All-Star in Basketball and All-Academic Team in Basketball.

Future Plans: University of Richmond.

Kristen Sue Poulin

Daughter of Sue LaPierre and Scott Poulin.

Activities: Class vice president, math team, art club, Peer Mentoring Program, and Morse Street School apprenticeship, varsity soccer, varsity basketball, varsity lacrosse, varsity track and Maine Coast United/Southern Maine Premier Soccer Club.

Awards: National Honor Society, Western Maine Conference Citizenship Award, President’s Award for Educational Excellence, Outward Bound Leadership Award, Western Maine Conference All-Academic Team in soccer and basketball, Western Maine Conference All-Star Soccer and Senior All-Star Basketball

Molly Elizabeth Susla

Daughter of Bennett and Holly Susla.

Activities: Aspirations committee, United States Ski Team, United States Biathlon Association, New England Nordic Ski Association, Maine Coast Nordic Ski Club, Maine Winter Sports Center, mock trial, mentoring, service club, math team, round table facilitator, tap and ballet dancing, biathlon and volunteer at a local farm.

Awards: National Honor Society, Maine Principal’s Association Award, Maine Interscholastic Athletic Administrator’s Association Scholar Athlete Award, Solomon H. Plummer Citizenship Award, Society of Women Engineers Certificate of Merit, All-Conference Athletic Award for cross-country and Nordic skiing, Williams College Book Award and Most Valuable Player Award in cross-country and Nordic skiing (two years).

Alexander Haven Thompson

Son of John and Caroline Thompson.

Activities: Math team, class president (senior and junior), National Honor Society (president), Prom Committee (chairman), surf club, student mentor, student programming board, varsity cross country (captain), varsity lacrosse (captain), varsity Nordic skiing, actor in student play, Habitat for Humanity, youth lacrosse volunteer, round table facilitator, Lion’s Club volunteer and Elder’s Association volunteer.

Awards: Yale Book Award, Presidential Academic Excellence Award, Academic Excellence Award in English, Mathematics, Latin and History, All-Academic Team Award, High Honor Roll, seven Scholar Athlete Commendations and Winged Foot Award in cross country.
